Weight watchers, it teaches you to eat healthy for a life time, not just buying your meals and then returning to your unhealthy eating habits once you lose your weight.
Eat whatever you want – just do it in moderation. Cut out sugary drinks. Drink more water. Excercise. Excercise. Excercise.
I’ve tried ‘em all. But until I got the excercise part down all I did was spend alot of money. Since I’ve started getting some aerobic excerise in my life I’ve lost 48 pounds and counting… since Thanksgiving last year.
Any would be fine if you can afford it. That’s half the solution to “diet and exercise.” Get an el cheapo treadmill or stair stepper (or run in place, that’s free). Five times a week for 30 minutes (5 minutes warm up, 20 minutes keeping your pulse high, then 5 minutes cool down). You will have to “Google” your target heart rate based on you health, go slow, no yo-yo weight lost, only to gain back twice as much later. No magic bullet, you gained the weight the same old way, you got to loose it the same old way. The Internet is a great knowledge base, try home cooking, no packet stuff, real veggies, cooked from scratch, rewarding. Best of luck.
My Frogdog seems to have the best answer. I’m glad you asked this question because I really am desparate to lose weight as well. I have a friend who was on Jenny Craig and lost 60 lbs 7 years ago and now she has gained back 100 lbs and she’s short. Her metabolism slowed and now that she is 50 years old it’s even more difficult to lose weight.
I tried Weight Watchers but I felt embarrassed to go to the weigh ins….and the meetings were boring. I’ve started walking and swimming daily…nothing yet. Good luck with your tries.
i know a bunch of people including myself who have lost a good bit of weight just walking and toning. It is free or cheap depending on where you do it, and works just as well as any weight loss program, but you just have to keep yourself motivated and on track
none of thee above…the best weight loss program is all of the main food groups in smaller portions…but if you want a specific diet……i would do the five small meals a day, a lot of people say it works
none…youre just goin to waste your money.
just discpline yourself and eat right and normal…eat ice cream, cake, chocolates, but not too many!!!
Exercise… lots of it… get your heart rate up, and exercise to keep it there for as long as possible…
Exercise, coupled with reduced volume of food intake…
Not too complex really.
Working out and eating healthy is what I reccomend, you dont have to pay. Why? because it’s a proven way to lose weight. Plus you wont get flabby.
My mom already lost 20 lbs on jenny craig, so I guess its not that bad. I still think you could lose it on your own and without paying money though.
