    explain that you are happy just the way you are and that you will be happy to have a trainer but you arent ready for it yet.

    Certainly, you seem to have an interest in using a personal trainer “just for a workout”…but you need to relay that to the personal trainer. Just tell them your goals are simply to get a workout and not focus on BMI…you are their client and YOUR goals are important, not theirs. Another thing to consider is that keeping yourself fit in the off season may be a way to prevent injury during dance and swimming.

    If you think your mom is “pushing you” too hard, you need to discuss with your personal physician as to whether your are a healthy weight or not. If you already are and are already completing a fitness program in the off season, you need have your physician sit down with you and your mom and discuss what is a healthy amount of exercise for you, and what is not.
