Man, that is what makes me sick of people these days! The way to lose weight is to BURN more calories than you EAT. It is that simple. If you don’t want to work out, you have to limit yourself to less calories taken in than you burn off. Studying doesn’t burn many calories so I hope you like celery.

go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7
p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your
initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don’t
eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you
don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your diet is
still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or
to buy special meals or plans.

Your belief about caffeine is totally mistaken. One cup of coffee with caffeine per day is fine however an excess of the stimulant will make yur body think it is in a life threatening position (i.e. overdose on coffee and you put your body into stress). When you are stressed your digestion and elimination functions cease until you are at a place of safety. Your body is then flooded with cortisol which makes you eat as your body thinks you need to recover quickly – stress, in fact, makes you fat.

You can take a twenty minute brisk walk each day and it is more likley to help your studies than hinder them. Then you should concentrate on consuming fruit and vegetables with good quality protein. Avoid sugar and refined carbohydrates including white bread, pasta etc.

I would have 3 meals a day, for example:

Breakfast: 2 weetabix OR cornflakes OR porridge with skimmed milk and a glass of orange juice

Lunch: Sandwich filled with either ham, chicken OR egg followed by a yogurt.

Dinner: Jacket potato, salmon and veggies OR spaghetti bolognaise OR tuna pasta bake with salad.

Snacks: Fruit if you are peckish in between meals

Drinks: Water, water and more water

This is just to give you an idea but it is basically about eating a healthy well balanced diet and watching your portion sizes.

Remember though, the more you exercise, the faster it will come off!

    Good luck!!

You need to work out what your normal daily calorie intake would be and then reduce the amount of calories you eat. Eat a balanced diet though, and yes that does mean you can eat fat and carbs.

In terms of exercise I use Kettlebells. They build muscle which burns calories more efficiently even when you are not working out. The great thing is that you can do these exercises at home and you only need to do a couple of hours a week for it to work. It is a great cardio workout with these things as well. Swimming is also a very good way to exercise.

    Hi there!

I have got great news for you. It seems to me that you want to exercise to weigh 80kg after your studies, but you can actually start losing weight right now!

Although exercise is an integral part of losing weight, diets do play an important role in losing weight too. I would want to show you both the myths and the truths about diets, to help you lose weight even if you do not have time for exercise this period of time:

** MYTH: Eating fats will make you fat.
** TRUTH: There are important fats around you can’t avoid! You will be at health risk if you avoid fats completely. There are good and bad fats. An example of a good fat is the Omega-3 Fatty Acids.

** MYTH: Eating throughout the day makes you fat.
** TRUTH: Not correct! If you were to resort to having only 1 or 2 meals a day while trying to make sure you have enough energy levels to sustain throughout the day(and your studies), you would have to eat a lot per meal!

A commonly mistaken thought is that the energy you consume will be used at the later part of the day. While this is partially true, by the time you need the energy that is reserved, it would have been deposited as fats on your body! Sure you won’t want that!

If you are really serious about losing weight, then I would personally recommend you a book. It will teach you what is good and bad for your body, effectively and very effectively enabling you to lose the weight you’ve been longing to lose!

I know a few people who followed this book and have lost a good amount of weight! You can read more about this book in my source below.

    Sincerely,
    Terence
