If you want to lose weight, you need to two things: eat less and exercise more. Weight gain happens when you create a calorie surplus (eat more than you burn). Your body takes the excess calories and converts them to fat which get stored around your stomach, arms and thighs. The longer you remain in a calorie surplus, the more weight you’ll gain. To lose that weight, you need to do the opposite. You need to create a calorie deficit (start eating less than you burn).

Your first step is to figure out how many calories you burn on a daily basis. This calculator will help you out The number you get from this tool is what your body burns on a daily basis. To lose weight, simply eat less. It sounds a lot easier than it is but making small changes helps you adjust to a new lifestyle. Don’t think of this as a diet, think of it as a new life. Instead of eating foods high in sugars, white flour and saturated fat, go with fruits, vegetables, whole wheats, fish, lean meats, nuts and beans. In addition to eating less, you also need to exercise more. Start off at 1-2 times per week and work your way up to 3-5 times per week.

Don’t make all of these changes at once or you won’t be able to properly adjust to them. Generally, eating healthier foods will decrease your calorie intake. Compare a doughnut to an apple and you’ll see that healthy foods are lower in calories. You can find some more information at the Beginner’s Guide to Dieting -

If it’s not too cold, try taking the baby for a 30-60 minute walk everyday, (try for 30 if you are completely inactive, otherwise try for 60 minutes). Start waking up at the same time everyday, eat a healthy breakfast even if it consists of cereal cause I bet you’re busy. Eat around 400 calories for lunch and dinner, and about a 100-200 calorie snack of whatever you like to stave off binging which means you can eat half a candy bar, a 12 oz coke, a couple of cookies or whatever, but make sure it doesn’t go over 200 calories. This is how I lost all the baby weight of about 60 pounds, but I’m still trying to lose more. Good luck, and I hope this helps!

I can loss wait vary quickly and so can you if you are willing to put in the work and use your will power. I’m not saying its easy, but it is up to you if you lose that weight or not. Put away the excuses and start living health for good. Work out for at lest 30 a day 5 day a week. When your in the gym hit it non stop till your done. If you don’t have the money for a membership (I’ve been there) there is more than plenty you can do at home. If you want it you can think of lots of fat burning exercises on your own. Keep your heart rate up for 30min. to an hour, and keep moving the rest of the day. Start eating 6 small meals a day. take a Multi vitamin daily. You need this when your losing wait. Its only 3 or 4 bills. In each meal eat 3 to 4 grams of a protein source(lean meat) and 3 or 4 grams of a carb( complex carb.) Fruit and veg. are good sources. Good luck!

Take your child for a stroll around the block, or to the park, or anywhere else. Get up in the morning, and pretend you’re getting your child ready for school. When you’re done feeding and so on, just get out of the house with the baby, and don’t return for a while.

You don’t need a car to do this. Just find places you can go to that are walking distance from your home. If there’s a park near you, get your child and a stroller and just walk to the park. You can find ways to get to places by using the bus and subways. It may be annoying, but at least you’re not staying home. Your baby needs to be outside and you need to lose weight. Perfect.

Also, drink lots of water and eat healthier foods, eventually you’ll see some weight loss. It doesn’t take a week, but if you start now, a month from now you’ll see some difference in how you look, and even how you feel. Just don’t give up and you’ll be fine.

You’re tired because you’re being lazy. It’ll do that to you, I know the feeling. Just force yourself to do something. No more excuses. The same thing happened to me and I’m feeling better and I’m not as lazy as I used to be, and I’m even getting better at it, too. It takes a little bit of time, but be patient and you’ll see great results.
