Eat wholegrains, consume plenty of water. Eat fruit and veg. Exercise briefly 3 days a week and treat yourself every now and then. Its all too easy to go on a strict ‘fad’ diet (which mostly don’t work ) and then fall off the band wagon after a month because you’ve restricted yourself to no bad food what so ever

I have been on Weight Watchers for 6 weeks now. You get to eat anything you want, just in moderation. You have a daily points allowance that you need to stick to. Seemed hard the first couple of days, but then I got the bright idea that I would eat fewer points to lose quicker. DOES NOT WORK!!! I go to the weekly meetings, but if there is not one in your area, go to DWLZ.com (Dottie’s Weight Loss Zone) and get the info for free. You will be able to figure out your daily points allowance.

Cardio vascular exercise, resistance training, proper nutritional planning, and good goal setting. I would NOT recommend any of these fad diets. I would HIGLY recommend buying Tom Venuto’s Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle ebook at if you are serious about fat loss. I have used it myself and found that his information is accurate and effective. If you read it and follow it, you can’t go wrong. I could go on forever with the details, but you might interpret it differently than I do than if you just read the ebook for yourself.

The best ways to lose weight seem to be the oldest, most traditional ways.

Favor light meats over dark meats such as beef, pork, etc.

Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Favor vegetable oils over solid fats such as margerine, butter, crisco, etc.

    Exersise, exersise, exersise.

If you want to lose weight but dont want to exersise then just forget about losing weight altogether, because the weight will come back on ANY diet if you dont stay active. And throw away your scale, look at yourself in the mirror and let you waist size be the judge. Also, according to Scientific America, those who are slightly overweight tend to live longer than those who have perfect “bathroom scale weight.”

When I was 29 I started taking Wellbutrin for depression. I was smoking at that time. Wellbutrin and Zyban are the exact same drugs except for the fact your insurance company is more likely to cover Wellbutrin. Zyban is known for helping smokers to quit smoking. Well, I wasn’t looking to…and I did. One of the other side effects was WEIGHT LOSS. It kills your cravings for everything. I would be hungry, but couldn’t figure out what the hell I wanted, so I wouldn’t eat. I went from 140 to 116 effortlessly. I was 5′7, and looking smoking hot. The only bad thing was that I looked so damn good in everything, anytime I went shopping I bought everything I tried on.

What I can tell you is that stay from anything label “diet”. Those foods will make you to feel more hungry and regular exercise will do it. Not too much and not too less. Once you create your resume try to sticky with it. So do not plan unrealistic things.

I come from a family that we are all born normal but once reached adulthood age we put so many pounds.

I decided to break that cycle in my way. My heaviest weight when I was teen was 115. In my 20s I went to 167. But then I changed my life style and decided not to follow my parents and family members with diet things. I eat anything but diet foods. I eat everything in moderation and normal weight lift, aerobic exercises, Pilate and walking. I now weigh 124 Ibs and the good thing is that I don’t worry to county calories all the time.

My mom now she is starting to do my way.

To maintain a healthy lifestyle & get in shape try this:

Try making small changes, if you really love a certain food that is ok, just cut down your portions, you don’t need to deprive yourself to be healthy.

As for your overall diet try to cut down on your calories, eat lean protein, and whole grains – bread is not bad, so long as it is whole grain & high in fiber, also eat your veggies & drink lots of water. Also lean calcium products such as yogurt, low fat milk & cheese fill up with low calories & high nutrition content. Cut out saturated & monosaturated fats & excess sugar.

For snacks I eat a lot of fruit & veggies as snacks, baby carrots, snap peas, grape tomatoes, grapes, berries, peaches. I also love the Flat Earth veggie & fruit chips, Quaker ranch rice cakes, popcorn, whole grain crackers, dark chocolate, blue diamond nut thins & string cheese. These are all small snacks with low fat & low calories.

It is best to eat 1200-1500 calories per day, if you eat less than this your metabolism will slow down, making it harder to lose weight. NO fast food. don’t drink empty calories, stick to water, low cal juices (I mix 100% juice w/25% water to lower calories) & low fat milk. no soft drinks (diet or regular)
no eating unless you are hungry!

That being said, never underestimate the power of a good workout routine. In order to be healthy you MUST make time to exercise. Not exercising is not an option if you want to be healthy.

Lots of Cardio & weight training. do 30-45 minutes of strength training 3-4 times per week followed by 45-50 minutes of cardio 5-6 times per week. do your strength training 1st, it burns more calories. I also do loads of crunches prior to & after cardio. Also walk more during the day. Take a walk on your lunch break, walk to the store, aim for 10,000 steps per day a pedometer is a great idea. The more active you are the more calories you will burn & the more weight you will lose.

To stay healthy & not get discouraged remember this:
It is not recommended that you lose more than 2-3 pounds per week. Rapid weight loss can be dangerous & is hard to maintain. losing weight is difficult because 1 lb is 3500 calories, so you must burn 3500 calories per pound you want to lose.

If you really want to lose the weight you are going to have to use discipline & work hard. Your health is worth it!
