There aren’t any specific exercises you can do to tone up, but you could make a little change to your usual workout program and by doing so you would tone up quicker.

Anyway, my email newsletter subscribers and from my personal experience, I can honestly say that the best way to tone up is to control your diet and to exercise a little bit more + like I sad in the first paragraph: you have to look into your workout routine from a different point of view… more reps, lower weights :)

Hope it helps a little bit,
    Rob,

P.S. beware, there are plenty of spammers out here, so by the time you’ll read this probably you’ll already have answers like “OMG check this website – this really works blah blah blah” Be cautious ;)

Be careful what some people tell you to do on here.
Running is the best fat burn and weights is the best for muscle and tone.

I was wondering myself what I can do, I am a stay at home mom so i cant leave my house to go to a gym, I looked on You Tube for exercise videos and I found these great ones by SPARK PEOPLE they have a wide range of exercises and they are working because in 3 weeks I have lost 10 pounds.

Try to get 30 minutes exercise per day. Do something you like, such as swimming, jogging, cycling or joining a sports team. You want the effort to be enough that you are perspiring from the 10 minute mark to the end – yes you can perspire while swimming :)

“Toning” is really a code for losing a bit of fat, which will make your muscles stand out a bit better. To do that, don’t go for a heavy restricted calorie diet, just aim for 150-200 calories per day less than you need to maintain weight (see to give you an idea how much that is).

Eat smaller meals more regularly (aim for 6 per day or every 2 hours). That will allow your body to burn the energy more efficiently.

It is a myth that you can tone any particular body part. You lose fat all over your body at pretty much the same rate. So by dropping your body fat percentage, you will be toning your arms and stomach.

The most effective way to lose fat and tone up is by doing full body compound exercises. Forget doing hours of cardio and hundreds of sit ups. You can get a free six pack abs e-report at the url below. It helped me loads.

Sounds like your doing pretty good so far and i would suggest jogging first thing in the morning before breakfast to lose weight as you haven’t eaten so your body uses up fat but seaming as though your looking more to tone up i would still suggest jogging as i found it a simple but effective way to give you better overall fitness and for toning i would just say to do general exercises like push ups and sits ups as well as weight training to beef you up a bit more lol good luck with it
