Yes, walking is the best way to lose weight!! And it’s great that you have already cut back. After you start excising you’ll see your pounds just start to fall off! It’s a great feeling, I’ve been there.. However, I have at treadmill and I hate it.. It’s just sooo boring for me! I do good to stay on there for 30 minutes.. So I’ve been doing DVD’s.. They are walking DVD’s by Leslie Sanson.. 30 to 45 minutes and it’s great.. I never get bored with them.. I think you just buy one (usually around 12 bucks) try it and see if you like it.. If so then it’s a faster, easier and less expensive way to lose weight.. But just do whatever makes you happy and works for you :)

Lack of time is the most common complaint given by people for not exercising or following a fitness regime. If you are one of them, you can purchase a home treadmill. It is one of the most important and beneficial home exercise equipment nowadays.

But before purchasing a treadmill for home, you should take care of the following 10 points.

Treadmills are a very good tool for losing weight, but you must stay committed. Do not let yourself fall into the stereotype as a treadmill to “hang your clothes on.” It is recommended at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week to stay in shape. Therefore, if you want to lose those 50 lbs, the hour a day you mentioned is a great idea, but be sure to BUILD to that status if you are not already there- the surgeon general warns against starting out with an overly strenuous exercise, as it causes stress and promotes boredom and eventual retirement of a workout regiment. Also, vary intensities- for example, many treadmills have different incline positions. Maybe for a few exercises, test your might at incline training. Not only is it more calories to be burnt, but also varies your routine, and works different muscles.

Your eating habits are another good step in the right direction. The generic definition of exercising is burning off more calories than you take in. Easier said than done, yes, but this is the only way. Also, avoid “dieting.” Many studies show people think dieting is a demeaning work, and feel that sticking to healthier lifestyles in general is a much more satisfying way to live their life.
