I estimated about 350 calories per half hour of tae bo. Less for the basic, more for the advanced ones. But somewhere around 350. When you say ‘much weight’ is that roughly 2 pounds a week? If so, that is very good progress. Everyone wants to lose 5 pounds a week, but the body just doesn’t work like that! I’m 6′0 and weigh about same as you do – 170 isn’t high! Keep up with the Tae bo, try to eat about 6 times a day (as long as you keep it to your calorie limit) and you should see good progress. Instead of always sticking to 1400 calories, you might want to mix up going 1200 for 2 days, then 1400 for 2 days, then 1600 for 2 days then start over again.
Tae Bo is a great excercise. You should notice your body toning up by now. However, from your height and weight I could tell you you are not eating enough calories. You should try increasing to 1900 cals. A good way to know exactly how much you should be eating would be to join weight watchers or a similar program. They help you figure out the balance of calories (points) and excercise.
Keep up the great work!
