    Protein powder is usually what guys use to help put on muscle mass when lifting weights. I don’t think it will help you lose weight.

    Good job on cutting calories, though. You just need to get moving, and you should start loosing.

    adding protein to an inactive lifestyle will do just what you predicted…it will add calories only. proteins main job is to provide fuel for overworked muscle, but if you do not work them out, protein will just be excreted and those extra calories retained. to lose the desired weight, you need to engage in extensive physical movement, (aka cardio). good luck.
