Can dramatic weightloss have an effect on the benefits of anti-depressants? Please help– at my wit’s end here
I’ve been losing weight since last July. I started at almost 110lbs overweight and have lost a bit over 50lbs so far, naturally with excercise and a good diet. I’ve been bipolar my entire life and have been taking Effexor XR 150mg for it for the past 4 years, and up until about 2 months ago it had been working wonderfully. Now I am an emotional wreck, I feel like I am falling apart, I don’t have the energy or drive to do the things I used to love doing, and I want to sit around and mope all day. Can my weight loss have something to do with this? Is it possible that I somehow threw off the balance that the Effexor was creating with my brain/ body chemistry? This might be a stupid question but I would REALLY appreciate some serious input. Thank you!

This guy had dark hair & he was in his 30’s I beleive. He chronicled his diet, exercise, etc towards his success. There were photos showing his loss.
JUST found out my DH has a BMI of 31 & he’s been doing the same workout routine forever….I was looking for some guidance for him.
My DH is 39 & eats high protein, low carb all day, every day. He works out 5 days a week, he has great muscle tone & size – he just has extra weight around his middle (it’s like the only place on his whole body) & the guy that posted this site had the same problem. i was looking for someone w/ the same problem with a journal of progress……I want to say his name was Mike. ??

My friend melanie weighs 200 and wants to get down to 100. I think that’s ridiculously thin for someone who is 5′3”. (I’m 5′5” and weigh 120)
Anywho she has this theory that she’ll be more photogenic, and prettier, after the weightloss. This got me thinking.

I’m about to start a weightloss program, so I think it would be interesting to see what people think before and after.
If you think this is a silly question please don’t bother answering!
Also, just so you know the “program” I’m talking about, is one I’m setting up myself. I know about 6 times more about weightloss than I probably need to know, so I’ll definately lose the weight. I’ve just had trouble applying it, because I’ve been too hard on myself. I go to the gym and walk my dog everyday. I’m going to figure out all my favourite foods and figure out a healthy way to eat them.

I’m not 100 kilo’s!!! I do think I would look good at 70 kilo’s though, I’ll give you that. My goal weight is more like 60 kilo’s though so theres no chance of being called “a beached whale” or even just a “fatty” again.
I don’t need liposuction. Its expensive, and just an easy way out. Also I’m only 17, so once I’ve lost the weight, theres a big chance no-one will ever know I was overweight just by taking a quick glance at me!

i really want to lose…over a period of time that is- about 150 lbs. i have tried weight watchers, but i dont want to “buy” into any of those programs. i just want to know the kinds of foods i need to eat. but im so picky. i mean, ill eat yogurt and fruits and veggies, but all that gets boring REALLY fast. really really fast. what other things can i eat that taste somewhat good, and that r good for me and for losing weight? and i need to lose a chunk of weight fast if i want to impress some people when i go back for graduation and prom at school (i graduated early but im going back to walk with my class) and PLEASE be real people. i really want to do this. so many people have been putting me down and saying that i cant do it (like my mom-who is not overweight) and i really need some good advise and support and encouragement! thanks!

I am going on holidays before the end of July and i have to lose at least 6-8lbs before then. I have tried fruit and salads but i need something HOT as this make me feel unhappy and irratible and bust out on chocolates and the like. Can anyone help me?
